Weather Alert: Dangerous heat expected Wednesday through Friday in Southern New England

It’s a Storm Team 10 Weather Alert from Wednesday through Friday this week for dangerous heat expected across Southern New England.

Temperatures will reach the low 90s on Wednesday. The worst of the heat arrives on Thursday and Friday, with actual temperatures near 100 degrees.

It will feel like it’s 100 to 110 degrees for a heat index on Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service has already issued an Extreme Heat Watch for all of Rhode Island (except for Block Island) and Bristol County, Massachusetts, from Wednesday through Friday for heat indices up to 110 degrees.

Don’t forget kids or pets in vehicles, where temperatures can become deadly in minutes. Check on elderly neighbors to make sure they stay cool…
