AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — From Meteorologist Brian James, expect the chance for thunderstorms to continue tonight, especially across the southern and eastern Texas Panhandle. Any storms that develop could produce damaging wind gusts of up to 70 mph before fading after sunset.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected Monday afternoon and evening, with a slightly better chance for storms than today. A few storms could again become strong, bringing gusty winds before weakening Monday night.
The unsettled pattern will continue through Wednesday, with daily afternoon and evening thunderstorm chances. While the risk of severe weather remains low after today, a few strong storms with gusty winds and locally heavy rain will still be possible…
