ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Art enthusiasts celebrated locally-crafted ceramic work thanks to a nonprofit arts studio’s inaugural Clay Fest.
Inferno Clay Studio held the one-of-a-kind event June 27 at Pioneer Hall in Rockford. The festival was open to all ages and free to attend.
Artists from across the region came together to sell their work and demonstrate their techniques with others, holding workshops throughout the event.
An exhibition featured student work from Roosevelt High School, Auburn High School, Guilford High School, West Middle School, Marshall Middle School and Resa Middle School.
Just across from the student artwork was the “Make Your Mark” community project where anyone could take part in creating a piece of art for Inferno Clay Studio’s gallery.
Connecting artists and enthusiasts throughout the Rockford-area was one of the driving factors for the event’s organizers…
