Dallas Man Convicted of Second-Degree Murder in Fatal Shooting of Brother

DALLAS, Ore. — A Polk County jury has found a Dallas man guilty of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his brother outside a Dallas home in November 2024.

Alonzo E. Rowell, 52, was convicted of Murder in the Second Degree in connection with the death of his brother, Tony Miller, 54, following a trial in Polk County Circuit Court. In addition to the murder conviction, the jury found Rowell guilty of Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Reckless Endangering Another Person.
