ASHEVILLE – On June 23, Asheville City Council authorized three contracts for design and engineering services tied to Tropical Storm Helene landslide repairs across the city, a package aimed at restoring damaged roads, stormwater systems, guardrails and other public infrastructure after one of the most destructive storms in the city’s history.
Nearly $11 million in planned design, study and recovery work will soon begin across 89 landslide sites.
