Teens charged with stealing car, shooting into buildings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two suspects are accused of stealing a car and shooting into buildings in Steele Creek, police say.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested 17-year-old Willie Green and 19-year-old Keith Broom after officers spotted a stolen vehicle on Hill Road. During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found five guns, all matching calibers found at the scene of a shooting. Investigators later served a search warrant at the suspects’ apartment, recovering additional evidence linked to the crime.

Both suspects are charged with five counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property and felony conspiracy. Broom is also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen vehicle…
