Shelby County property tax rate hike heads to final vote

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County commissioners are expected to take a final vote Monday on the county’s proposed property tax rate.

The rate was tentatively approved earlier this month, but commissioners still have to decide whether to lock it in before the new fiscal year begins.
