NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Two inmates were stabbed at the Orleans Parish Jail on Sunday (June 28) using a homemade weapon, and a special response unit with the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a comprehensive shakedown of a housing unit, officials say.
One inmate was taken to a hospital before being returned to the jail Sunday night. Both inmates were treated for injuries.
