CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Chattanooga man prosecutors say was armed, trafficking drugs and later punched a Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy while awaiting trial has learned how long he’ll spend in federal prison.
Thirty-two-year-old Antonio DeWayne Watkins, also known as “Tony Bologna” and “Gator Mac,” was sentenced to 432 months (36 years) in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Following a four-day trial, Watkins was convicted of multiple federal offenses, including trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl, possessing firearms as a convicted felon, possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and assaulting a person assisting a federal official resulting in bodily injury…
