Cooling centers and splash pads open in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — As temperatures reach the 90s this week, the city of Dayton is reminding residents that cooling options are available.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s from Monday, June 29 until Thursday, July 2, including heat indices over 105 degrees.

Dayton residents can access three locations including:

  • Greater Dayton Recreation Center – 2021 W. Third St.
  • Lohrey Recreation Center – 2366 Glenarm Ave.
  • Northwest Recreation Center – 1600 Princeton Dr.

The centers are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m…
