Two men were stabbed in separate incidents in Long Beach on Saturday, June 27, following verbal disputes that escalated into violence, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The first stabbing occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard. Officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found an adult male suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds to his upper body. Personnel with the Long Beach Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigators determined the victim and an adult male suspect became involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim. No information about an arrest has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
