MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office has begun taking inventory of evidence held in the Prichard Police Department.

According to an MCSO news release, 2,956 pieces of evidence have been documented from within the PPD offices, with 736 of those items being guns.
Evidence technicians and deputies are working to organize and properly document the evidence News 5 has learned.
“This methodical review requires personnel to carefully examine each item to ensure it is accurately identified, associated with the correct case, and handled in accordance with Alabama law and established evidence management procedures,” the release said…
