Two people were seriously injured Sunday when a man fleeing from police ran a red light and crashed into another driver, police said.
George Campbell, 59, of the 800 block of Eleanor Avenue in West Toledo, was driving a Saturn SUV northbound on Douglas Road at the I-475 overpass. Police were pursuing him on an unspecified felony warrant. He failed to stop for a red light at the off-ramp and was hit by a Dodge Ram being driven by Corey Rittenhouse, according to a police report.
