Teen “takeovers” have long been on the minds of many members of Chicago’s City Council. Several of the large group gatherings have gotten unwieldy, chaotic, and even dangerous. Alders have debated solutions from teen curfews to penalizing parents.
But when teens themselves showed up at City Hall to give their side of the argument, many alders addressing this issue failed to meet with them.
