6 months after a chemical leak caused dozens of people to be treated near the Houston ship channel, the U.S. Department of Labor is now holding three different companies accountable by imposing fines of over 3.5 million dollars.
The sulfuric acid leak happened at BWC Terminals LLC in Dec. 2025, and the cleanup lasted days.
