Tulsa, TPS launches joint housing redevelopment effort; City updates progress on $47M housing fund

TULSA, Okla. — The City of Tulsa and Tulsa Public Schools are partnering on a new effort to redevelop five publicly owned properties as part of a broader push to expand housing options across the city.

As Tulsa’s Housing Month continues, City leaders announced a joint request for proposals (RFP) that opens five sites to potential developers, including two city-owned properties that will require housing as part of any redevelopment plans.

The sites included in the RFP are:

  • Horsley Hill, 815 South Riverside Drive (City-owned)
  • Gilcrease Hills Village II, 175 East 2nd Street (City-owned)
  • Former Greeley Elementary School (TPS-owned)
  • Former Sandburg Elementary School (TPS-owned)
  • Ford lot near 61st Street North and North Delaware Avenue (TPS-owned)
