BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — With local farmers markets in full swing, the Saratoga County Department of Aging and Youth Services is providing coupons for seniors. The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupon booklets include five $5 coupons that are valid for buying fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers market vendors.

Qualifications for farmers market coupons include being 60 years old or older, with a monthly income of no more than $2461.00 per month for a one-person household or no more than $3337.00 per month for a two-person household. One coupon booklet is available per eligible individual. No change can be given for any unused amount on a coupon.
The department will distribute the coupons to those who qualify at the following locations:
- July 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Clifton Park Senior Community Center, 6 Clifton Common Blvd., Clifton Park
- July 13 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Mechanicville Senior Center, 178 N Main St., Mechanicville
- July 14 from 1 p.m. to 12 p.m. — Wilton Senior Center, 22 Traver Rd., Gansevoort
- July 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Halfmoon Senior Center, 287 Lower Newtown Rd., Waterford
- July 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Saratoga Springs Farmer’s Market, 112 High Rock Ave., Saratoga Springs
- July 16 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. — Milton Community Center, 310 Northline Rd., Ballston Spa
- July 17 from 11 p.m. to 12 p.m. — Town of Greenfield (Park), 428 Middle Grove Rd., Middle Grove
- July 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Clifton Park Farmer’s Market, 971 Route 146, Clifton Park
- July 22 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Moreau Community Center, 144 Main Street, South Glens Falls
- July 23 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. — Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, 6S Main St., Mechanicville
- July 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Stillwater Farmer’s Market, 662 Hudson Ave., Stillwater
- July 29 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Corinth Senior Center, 22 Hamilton Ave., Corinth
- August 5 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Saratoga Senior Center, 290 West Ave. Suite 1, Saratoga Springs
- August 6 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Town of Galway, 5910 Sacandaga Rd., Galway
- August 11: from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. — Waterford Senior Center, 125 Second St., Waterford
- August 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. — Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, 6S Main St., Mechanicville
A department representative will be present at distribution sites to discuss services and resources available for seniors.
