Army veteran Steven Coffman pitched a recovery-focused tiny home community for homeless veterans to Augusta commissioners last week. The project faces months of delays for zoning changes and nonprofit approval. The proposal, called Patton’s Battle-Born Village, would create housing meant to bridge the gap between emergency shelter and permanent housing vouchers for veterans fighting addiction.
Coffman, founder of Patton’s Pals, said commissioners support the proposal. That’s just one step.
