MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – USA Health officials say the labor and delivery unit at Providence Hospital will close June 30, with all services moving to USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital. The closure comes as Mobile OB-GYN is also set to shut its doors July 2.
For China Bleicher, who is nearly 39 weeks pregnant, the transition is happening at a critical point in her pregnancy.
“I had to find a doctor that was seeing patients pretty much immediately,” Bleicher said.
