Jags Add Georgian DB to 2027 Class

Defensive back Christian Jackson has announced his commitment to the University of South Alabama, giving the Jaguars another promising addition to their 2027 Recruiting Class.

The 6-foot-1, 188-pound standout from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia, chose South Alabama after receiving scholarship offers from the Jaguars and Liberty. Jackson made his commitment shortly after South Alabama extended an offer in June, becoming the latest pledge in the already-large 2027 class.

Jackson has emerged as one of Georgia’s rising defensive prospects thanks to his size, athleticism and versatility in the secondary. During the 2025 season at North Gwinnett, he recorded six tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery while showcasing his ability to make plays in multiple facets of the game with 222 all-purpose yards in receiving, rushing and returns…
