BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A minor is facing charges after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle in Cambria early Tuesday morning, officials said.
Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a vehicle that had been reported as stolen on Saunders Settlement Road around 2 a.m. Tuesday when the vehicle allegedly attempted to flee, officials said. Deputies used spike strips to deflate one of the vehicle’s front tires, and the driver allegedly kept driving before eventually coming to a stop on the side of the road.
The driver has been charged with unlawful fleeing of a police officer and several traffic violations. All five occupants of the vehicle were turned over to New York State Police.
