MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) – Middle Tennessee State University is preparing for the Independence Day national holiday by closing its campus for a long weekend. The closure affects all Rutherford County students, faculty, and community members who utilize campus resources.
University officials confirmed that all academic buildings, business offices, and departments will close starting Friday, July 3. This shutdown includes major campus hubs like the Student Union, the James E. Walker Library, and the Health, Wellness and Recreation Center. All campus dining locations will also close for the weekend.
While most services remain unavailable through Sunday, the Walker Library will offer limited hours. The library closes on Friday and Saturday, but opens on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. to assist students ahead of the work week…
