MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A suspect was charged Tuesday in the killing of a Montgomery man, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
Demuntra Murphy, 27, is charged with capital murder.
Police responded to the 200 block of Ann Street, near Percy Julian High School, on Sunday, June 21, at about 12:35 p.m. Officers found Tyrent Williams, 28, with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Williams had been reported missing. He is Montgomery’s 24th homicide victim of 2026…
