Kentucky State Police have charged a Nashville resident following a high speed pursuit in Lyon County on Saturday.
According to a news release, it began as a two-vehicle crash on I-24 westbound near the 50-mile-marker in Lyon County were one of the vehicles involved reportedly left the scene and continued down I-24. A vehicle that matched its description was spotted by troopers a short time later, and they attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
That’s when the driver, identified as 55-year-old Richard Rogers of Nashville, exited onto U.S. 62, failing to stop and accelerated at a high rate of speed. That pursuit traveled onto Goodman Road, where Rogers reportedly became stuck in a pond on the property, ending the pursuit…
