Clay, N.Y. — Firefighters are investigating what caused a fire at the vacant Great Northern Mall Tuesday evening as hundreds of people gathered nearby for food trucks and a fireworks display.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation and does not know whether the fire was intentionally set, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Thomas Newton said.
