Organizations Donate Fans in Recent Heat

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Salvation Army has partnered with Westlake Ace Hardware to donate fans to those affected by the recent high temperatures. Customers raised more than $5,200 in order to help out the community.

“We are so grateful for the Lincoln community for stepping up and helping donate these box fans,” said Matthew McCarter, a lieutenant at the Salvation Army. “It’s going a long way to help people stay cool this summer.”

With the money raised the Salvation Army and Ace Hardware were able to buy nearly 300 box fans. Volunteers from Arrow Capital and Ace Hardware helped facilitate the delivery to Salvation Army…
