San Antonio’s River North neighborhood is getting a new taco spot called Volcano, and it’s set to settle into the former home of the now-shuttered Artisan Distillery next to Roadmap Brewing.
According to a Thursday filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, or TDLR, construction on the 3,746 square-foot renovation project at 315 8th St. was expected to begin in early July — although a video-post to the eatery’s Facebook page showed crews building out the building’s interior frame as early as November 2025.
