Cara Delevingne Says Her Romance with Amber Heard Made Johnny Depp Jealous

Cara Delevingne has openly confirmed that she was romantically involved with Amber Heard during Heard’s widely publicized divorce from Johnny Depp.

In a revealing interview with Louis Theroux, the 33-year-old model, actress, and singer touched on the topic after Theroux brought up the tension surrounding Depp’s jealousy. “Are we going to mention the Johnny Depp thing? He was driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you,” Theroux asked.

Cara responded thoughtfully, “Am I meant to comment? It’s because we did a movie together called London Fields.

He was also involved in the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy.

Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose.”

When pressed further, Cara elaborated, “We were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled, I suppose. But she was also entangled with other people.”

London Fields, released in 2018, starred Cara, Amber, Theo James, and Jason Isaacs. Despite its notable cast, the film struggled commercially and received largely negative reviews.

Cara also opened up about her own experiences with relationships and marriage. Having previously been in long-term relationships with St.

Vincent and Ashley Benson, she has been with her current partner, Leah Mason-who performs as Minke-since 2022. When asked if she is currently engaged, Cara replied, “No.

I have been engaged.”

She reflected on the concept of engagement and marriage, saying, “Doesn’t matter now. They’re long gone.

Sucks for them. Yeah…

I’ve been proposed to. I’ve also proposed to someone,” adding that while she didn’t feel marriage was for her, engagement felt like a sign of commitment.

“It was something about actual marriage that I really didn’t believe in, but it was engagement that made me feel like they might not leave me. So it was like, ‘Oh, if we’re engaged, that means there’s an extra line they have to go to leave.’

But I actually never wanted to get married. Like, that really scared me because I really believe in freedom… whenever I feel tied down to something, it makes me go, ‘Wait a minute, that feels funny.’”

Cara also shared her reservations about traditional marriage structures, citing their roots in patriarchal and heteronormative systems tied to land and religion. “But I do believe in a spiritual union and a commitment, and I think there is a beauty in that.”

She acknowledged the importance of equal rights in relationships, especially concerning hospital visitation and adoption, saying it took time for her to fully understand this.

Looking ahead, Cara expressed that she could see herself marrying one day and has a strong desire to start a family. “I definitely don’t want to have kids to fix anything, but I think it will really heal parts of myself that have a tough time having sympathy for the kid I was. Because I’ve done a lot of work with that and imagining a little kid going through the things I saw or went through, I couldn’t imagine that.”

Cara Delevingne’s candid reflections offer a nuanced perspective on love, commitment, and personal freedom, as she continues to navigate her path both publicly and privately.
