CENTER POINT, Ala. (WBRC) – Units at a condemned condominium complex in Center Point have continued to catch fire, and city officials say they do not have enough money to demolish the remaining structures fast enough to stop it.
The latest fire at Woodside Condominiums engulfed eight units Monday night, according to Center Point Fire District Chief Brandon Dahlen. It is one of several fires at the property, which was condemned back in 2019.
‘A constant concern’
“It’s been a constant concern for us,” Chief Dahlen said. “We had another large fire back in February. We’ve had a couple other fires since then.”
