Mayfield Hts. Police Chief Mele tells of safety measures for city’s July 2 ‘Red, White and Blue Celebration’

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — The city will mark the Fourth of July and America250 with a “Red, White and Blue Celebration” event, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (July 2) at City Park.

With live music — a performance by the band Disco Inferno will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. — food, games, inflatables, and fireworks at dusk all on the menu, the event will be the city’s largest of the summer, having taken over this year from the annual Unity Days held at the same park.
