The Blotter | Box delivery truck stolen, recovered

A delivery truck was taken in the middle of the day from Maxwelton Road on June 20. The report came in at 1:53 p.m. that a 2019 Isuzu NRR box delivery truck had been stolen. Police quickly found the vehicle unoccupied on Kingston Avenue, according to Piedmont Police Department Capt. Chris Monahan. He said that an associated suspect vehicle was identified as a white 2011 four-door Mazda CX-9, which is registered in Kelseyville. The box delivery truck was returned to its owner.

The police log also identified a potential linked incident in which a resident reported that the front end of their 2012 Honda Civic had been destroyed by a hit and run at Kingston and Greenbank avenues. That report came in at 4:16 p.m. the same day.

On June 23, police found a parked vehicle on Olive Avenue and contacted the driver around 11:30 a.m. When the driver reached for the glove box, police observed a pipe, according to Monahan. He said police also found an open container in the vehicle. The driver was cited and released…
