RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Potentially record-breaking temperatures are on tap for this July 4 weekend, as the City of Raleigh urges everyone coming out to Dix Park for the fireworks to be prepared for the heat.
“Hydrate early, if you have a pre-existing condition watch it on TV and look out for your friends and neighbors,” said Stephen Bentley, director of Raleigh Parks.
To help keep people hydrated, the city will be providing free water throughout the festivities, with refill stations available. Families can also bring small, soft-sided coolers filled with snacks and sealed non-alcoholic beverages…
