The City of LaFayette is inviting the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary during its annual Freedom Festival on Thursday, July 2, at the Ross Abney Sports Complex.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. at 252 First Street and will feature an evening of patriotic entertainment, food, family-friendly activities and what city officials are calling the largest fireworks display in the event’s history.
One of the featured attractions this year will be a special pop-up history exhibit presented by the Museum of LaFayette. The exhibit will showcase historic photographs of familiar local landmarks, artifacts from the area’s past, and a community timeline connecting LaFayette’s history with the nation’s 250-year journey…
