SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — Siloam Springs served as Arkansas’s “Capital for a Day” on Tuesday, welcoming Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, members of her cabinet and other state leaders for a series of events highlighting the city’s growth, outdoor recreation and community.
The governor’s Capital for a Day program brings state government to communities outside of Little Rock, giving local leaders, business owners and others an opportunity to meet directly with state agency leaders and discuss local priorities.
Sanders began the day with a tour of WOKA Whitewater Park in neighboring Watts, Oklahoma. While the park sits just across the Arkansas border, Sanders says it has become a regional destination that also benefits Siloam Springs…
