West Seneca man sentenced for fatal hit-and-run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A West Seneca man was sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run in North Buffalo in September 2024, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Samuel Baer, 45, also had his driver’s license revoked for six months.

The victim, 59-year-old Joseph W. Domnissey, was struck by Baer’s vehicle around 11 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2024 at an intersection near the 2000 block of Elmwood Avenue and Hertel Avenue; officials said that Domnissey had fallen onto the road, and a Good Samaritan was trying to help Domnissey and stop ongoing traffic…
