A Canton boy is set to start his first day of kindergarten in August, but his journey to get to that day is not one of a typical 5-year-old.
In spring 2022, Hunter Ellett’s parents, Jenna and Blake Ellett, noticed their son, who was then 1 year old, was behaving strangely one day.
“He was in his highchair eating lunch when he started to stare out into space, the rim of his eyes started to get red, his face started to get a little deeper pink color and he was unresponsive. At first, I thought he was choking, so I took him out of his highchair and did the baby Heimlich,” Jenna Ellett said. “Nothing was coming out, but eventually he started crying. I didn’t know what happened, but that was his first seizure. It was seconds long.”…
