(WJET/WFXP) — The Community Blood Bank is urging eligible donors to give blood ahead of the Fourth of July weekend as blood supply has dropped to “critically low levels.”
This time of year usually sees a decline in donations while the need for blood remains consistent, according to a press release from the non-profit.
“Our blood supply is at an extremely low level, and we need our community to respond now,” said Megan Solensky, marketing and communications manager at Community Blood Bank. “We know people are excited to celebrate with family and friends this weekend. By donating before your holiday begins, you can make a lifesaving difference for someone spending the Fourth of July in a hospital.”…
