CANYON, Texas (KFDA) – The Canyon community came together to celebrate the return of the Hanes family following a ski accident in January that left 10-year-old Ellie Hanes with a spinal cord injury.
Canyon native Ellie Hanes suffered a spinal cord injury while skiing and has been to rehabilitation facilities in Denver, Baltimore, Oklahoma City, but now her and her family are back home.
Five months later, Ellie and her family are welcomed home with open arms from the whole community…
