BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The serial killer cases that terrified Baton Rouge did more than put families on edge. Dana Cummings says they changed how police and prosecutors worked across south Louisiana.
Cummings, a longtime East Baton Rouge prosecutor retiring after 31 years, said the cases involving Derrick Todd Lee, Sean Vincent Gillis and Jeffery Lee Guillory showed why agencies could not work in silos when killers crossed city, parish and jurisdictional lines.
