Lafayette chef wins Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off championship

Lafayette chef Kris Allen has earned the title of 2026 King of Louisiana Seafood after defeating 12 chefs from across the state at the 19th annual Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off.

Allen, executive chef of Pamplona Tapas Bar and Restaurant and Gravy Lafayette, claimed the championship with a crab-stuffed flounder that showcased the quality and versatility of Louisiana seafood, according to Louisiana Seafood.
