Utility assistance coming to New Orleans residents in need

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Help is coming for New Orleans residents in need of assistance paying bills.

The New Orleans City Council announced Total Community Action Inc. will host an Electric and Gas Utility Arrearage program, to help eligible Orleans parish residents struggling with past-due utilities.

LCMC offering health screenings, wellness education during Essence Festival

The program provides financial assistance to qualifying households with overdue accounts to help maintain essential utility services and reduce the financial burden of outstanding balances.
