A former Arby’s at 11043 FM 471 is tossing out the Horsey Sauce and stocking up on peach honey pepper dip. Cult-favorite chicken chain Bojangles is headed to the Far West Side to open its newest San Antonio restaurant.
The wildly popular North Carolina-based chain made its Alamo City debut in 2023 at 8730 Potranco Rd. At the time, the company stated it would be the first of three area storefronts — part of a Texas expansion plan. After heading to Seguin, it kept that promise with an April opening at 3003 SW Military Dr., but it seems it’s not through with Alamo City just yet.
Once open, Breakfast visitors will be able to score buttermilk biscuits topped with bacon, egg, and cheese; country ham; or sausage. And, of course, the new outpost will offer the chain’s signature peppery fried chicken with Southern-style sides like coleslaw, dirty rice, mac ‘n’ cheese, and Bo-Tatos, Bojangles’ circular hashbrown-tater tot hybrids…
