ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis City-owned park in the Walnut Park West neighborhood has been inaccessible to residents for months after a storm downed trees onto playground equipment, and neighbors say repeated complaints to the city have gone unanswered.
Summit Place Park, owned by the city’s Land Reutilization Authority, has had a large tree resting on its playground equipment since at least April 10, according to residents. Weeds have grown out of control around the site.
A review of complaints filed with the city’s Citizens Service Bureau shows residents first reported the fallen tree on April 20. Seven additional complaints about the condition of the park have been filed since then…
