ST JOHNS, Mich. (News 10) – It’s hot enough to make most people slow down, but firefighters don’t get that option, even in heavy gear. Crews have to balance getting the job done with staying safe.
Wednesday’s heat index hit triple digits throughout mid-Michigan, but firefighters still have to suit up and respond. The heat can turn dangerous fast when wrapped in layers and carrying equipment.
