CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Atrium Health patients may be eligible for cash from a class-action settlement tied to the health care provider’s online portal.
Claim Depot, which publishes class-action lawsuit information, reports that the settlement involves patients who had a MyAtriumHealth or MyCarolinas account at any time between Jan. 1, 2015, and April 10, 2024.

Atrium agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle a class action lawsuit that alleges it used pixel technology on its website and, for a limited period, disclosed personal and health-related information to third parties, including Meta and Google.
Claim Depot says there are two categories of class members with different payment structures:
- Those who accessed or used their patient portal account between Jan. 1, 2015, and July 31, 2019 (Group 1)
- Those who had a patient portal account between Jan. 1, 2015, and April 10, 2024, but did not access it during the earlier period (Group 2)
