Arkansas ends fiscal year with $655 million surplus

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT/Edited News Release) – The Arkansas Department of Finance announced Thursday the state completed Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) June 30, ending the year with a general revenue surplus of $655 million.

This is the fifth largest surplus in state history. It was an increase from FY25, when the surplus totaled $367.9 million.
