Family of Norman Hit-And-Run victim still seeking justice one year after death

NORMAN, Okla. – One year after 32-year-old Taylor Simer was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Norman, his family is still waiting for answers and hoping for progress in the case.

Simer was struck and killed on the Fourth of July last year near East Cedar Lane Road and Classen Boulevard. Norman police say he was found dead in the roadway after being hit by a driver who left the scene. Police say the driver later turned herself in, but charges were never filed.

For Simer’s loved ones, the passage of time has not eased the pain of his death…
