MONTGOMERY — Governor Kay Ivey has issued a proclamation recognizing Alabama’s manufacturing industry in observance of National “Made in the USA” Day on July 2, highlighting the sector’s role in the state’s economy and workforce.
According to the governor’s office, Alabama’s manufacturing industry employs more than 280,000 workers across more than 4,000 businesses statewide. The sector includes a wide range of industries, including automotive manufacturing, aerospace, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing.
