TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It is dry to start the holiday weekend, but rain chances will increase quickly, although it will not be a washout.
There will be periods of heavy rain and lightning over the holiday weekend; however, the rain should be manageable.
Friday
Showers develop midday, 11 am to 1 pm, right along the coast today. Storms grow and spread inland, with scattered coverage through 4 or 5 pm, before the majority of storms are well east of I-75 this evening.
One or two storms are possible back at the coast this evening.
The 4th of July
