Toledo bus riders, outdoor workers struggle during heat wave

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Three days into a heat wave, people who rely on public transit or work outdoors in Toledo are facing temperatures that reached into the 90s even by early evening Thursday.

A temperature check taken outside of 13 Action News recorded 92 degrees in the shade on grass and around 100 degrees in direct sunlight — an eight-degree difference.
